Family and Consumer Science

Our Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) program empowers students with real-world skills, hands-on experiences, and leadership opportunities that prepare them for success in both life and career. Through dynamic, career-focused pathways, students explore their interests while gaining valuable knowledge that supports personal growth, professional readiness, and community involvement.

Our pathways include:

• Hospitality & Food Production
  • Students gain hands-on experience in culinary arts, mastering techniques in food preparation, safety, nutrition, and event planning. Through real-world applications and industry-relevant training, they develop the essential skills needed for success in the fast-paced and ever-growing hospitality and food service industry.
• Education & Human Services
  • This pathway introduces students to child development, careers in education, and the importance of Early Childhood Education. These classes provide a foundation for strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of human development—essential qualities for future educators, counselors, and service professionals. 
• Fashion & Interior Design
  • Creative students explore the world of Fashion through clothing construction, textiles, and design principles, developing skills for careers in the fashion industry. In Interior Design, students learn about space planning, color theory, and home design, gaining the tools to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

In addition to our pathway programs, we proudly sponsor FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), a nationally recognized student organization that promotes leadership development, service learning, and career preparation.
