- State your relationship to the student, your student’s full name and student #.
- State the reason WHY your student will not be attending school and the day or days your student will be out.
- PARENT/Guardian must be the one to call in and report their student’s absence. Students can not excuse themselves.
Each Student is allowed 5 absences per SEMESTER without a doctor's note. There are only 2 semesters per school year.
If a student is 1-9 mins late they are Tardy—Per District Policy in High School Tardies are not excused without a doctor's note.
If the student is 10 – 29 mins late it is an unexcused partial absence. Unexcused partial absence are not excused without a doctor's note.
If a student is 30 or more mins late they are considered absent from class.
Missing a class because you overslept is NOT an excused absence or tardy.
Missing only 1 class period is not excused without a doctor's note.
Extended absence forms can be obtained from Student Relations for pre-arranged absences over the allowed amount.
IF YOUR STUDENT HAS AN APPOINTMENT AND YOU NEED TO SCHEDULE AN EARLY RELEASE CALL 720-972-4736 AHEAD OF TIME. Calling while "in route" to get your student will not ensure they will be ready when you arrive.
