COVID 19/REMOTE LEARNING UPDATE
This year has offered many challenges, the most recent being the impact of Corona Virus and its resulting pandemic spread across the world. In response to this crisis in Colorado, Adams 12 schools have moved education from the classroom to a remote approach. Below you will find an outline of the approach that I will be taking in the transition to remote learning.
Communication During Remote Learning
I know that many of you will have questions or concerns as we go through this transition together. As such, please reach out to me through email with any questions that you might have at car023556@adams12.org. To help facilitate the speed at which I can respond back to students and families I will operate office hours throughout the week at the times posted below.
Monday/Wednesday: 9 A.M. - 11 A.M.
Tuesday/Thursday: 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
Friday: 10 A.M. - 12 P.M.
Student Assignments & Grading During Remote Learning
All assignments for students will be posted to the Google Classroom & students will also be turning in all of their work through the Google Classroom. Assignments will be posted by 8 A.M. Monday mornings and will be due on Fridays of the same week. Students will have the entire week to work on the assignment. During the weekend, I will be grading the assignment from the week and have it posted to Infinite Campus by Monday morning.
Attendance During Remote Learning
Attendance will be taken once a week on Fridays by 3 P.M. In order to be marked as present students must do 1 of the following; have the week's assignment completed and turned in to the Google Classroom OR if students need the weekend to complete the assignment, they must reach out to me through email with any questions or concerns in regard to the topic by Fridays to demonstrate that they have interacted/attempted to complete the assignment for the week.
During these unprecedented times, I want all my students and their families to know that my first and foremost concern is your well-being and health during this pandemic. I will be designing the work for the week with an understanding that students and their families may be facing unexpected challenges during this time period. Please feel free to reach out and contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.
