Ms. Rettig has been a Significant Support Needs teacher at Northglenn High School since 2016. She started her love of working with individuals with disabilities in high school when she volunteered with the Special Olympics volleyball, basketball, and track teams. She loves working with her students and has the luxury to get to know them on a more personal basis. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Human Development & Family Studies. She did not think she wanted to become a teacher, so she took the long route to become an educator. Through the process of becoming a teacher, she started a masters program in Special Education through Western State Colorado University. She graduated with her Master's degree in May 2018!
She is a mother of 2 fur babies, her cats, Espresso and Vinnie. When she's not at school, she enjoys doing all things outside. Hiking and camping are 2 of her favorite past times! She also enjoys spending time with my family, who mainly live out of state in Washington and Texas. She looks forward to continuing her career as an SSN teacher at Northglenn High School!
